Warning this story has nothing to do with how great Youneeq is. More of a casual and funny read.
Sometimes people don’t want to hear what you do but what you will do for them.
A good example is when i met Ed Lee, Mayor of San Francisco, at a meet “n” greet. It was held at Rocket Space in downtown San Francisco, a great place to be a start-up by the way, but i digress. Its election time and Mr.Mayor is there to meet us entrepreneurs, there are 10 – 12 of us and I’m at the end of the line. By the time the mayor gets to me I can tell by the look in his eye his enthusiasm might of waned slightly. So when he gets to me and asks “What do you do” I thought he would be polite, smile and nod his head but really be thinking of something else. So I say to him “I’m here to build a company and create jobs”.
Well that put a bounce in his step and a smile in his face. We spoke for a while and i got to meet members of his economic development team.
Just a funny little anecdote i thought I’d pass on.
